WARNING! This Post Regards Hair Removal...

...Like the bikini line kind.

I have experienced my last bikini wax. No more am I going to pay people to rip the hair out of my body by the root. From now on, I do it myself… with my new epilator. This is the coolest purchase I have ever made and I can’t believe I waited this long to make it. The price was $50, which is 2½ bikini waxes. And I can use this on my legs, armpits, whatever. So, this thing has six little rows of spinning tweezers-things that catch hair when you hold the epilator close to your skin (see above photo). Then when the hair is caught, the wheels are whirling so fast that they yank the hair out. The beauty (well one of many) is that if there is no hair, it doesn’t hurt at all. So if you were to hold the whirling wheels to the palm of your hand, for example, it doesn’t hurt at all. You just feel a little friction. When you are using it on your legs (or wherever), once it has pulled the hair out it doesn’t hurt anymore. So it hurts the very worst the first second, and then gets less and less until it doesn’t hurt at all. AND, it lasts just as long as getting waxed because it does the same thing to the hair. AND it is MUCH easier on your skin because you are not tearing the top layer off, you’re just tearing the hair out. AND it is effective whether there are only one or two hairs to be pulled out, or an entire section. So I can now stay totally hairless during what would formerly be between-waxes-time. And now the 3-cycle hair growth doesn’t matter because I can do touch-ups whenever I feel like it. I’m telling you, this thing is awesome. And it comes with a 2 year guarantee. I like it so much that I may even go Brazilian.

This message is not a commercial. Brand is of no matter here, unless one is cheaper than the other. I happened to buy a Veet because that was the one I saw. Did I mention I love this thing?

OMG!!!!!!! I thought you were kidding when you said you'd post about the epilator..

I had one of these when I was in 6th grade, obviously it was a more primitive version. It was three round coils that vibrated, and in turn captured the hair and yanked it out. It was the most painful thing I've ever experienced. It was aweful.

I'm not convinced this version is any better - when wax gets pulled off an area where there's no hair it doesn't actually hurt. As far as I'm concerned, pulling hair out by the root, is pulling hair out by the root, period. I'd rather have a large patch quickly yanked out, then a few at a time.

Have you used this yet? Or are you infatuated with the concept? I hope it works for you :) But if at all fails - / LASER /

Nope - no kidding. With no shows to write about I had to do something. I HAVE actually used it. It certainly doesn't tickle, but it's not that bad. I've been waxed enough times that I'm used to it. It hurts more on my legs, which aren't used to being waxed. I think what I love most is the convenience. It's SO easy and yields the same results!!!

Ok miss honeygangsta. I bought one of these on the sole advice of your praises. I am fed up with the hair on my body and am not satisfied with ANY of my options. This sounded okay to me. So I found one on eBay (new of course). It came yesterday and I have been all a-twitter waiting for it to be fully charged. So, I have only waxed my brows (ouch) so I don't have a relative perspective of how much a bikini wax hurts but, this HURTS. AND it is leaving all kinds of "redness." Am I doing something wrong. I really want this thing to work. Please help me. Your friend who is friends with Miss GnomeCorp. By the way, I miss you. We should hang out.
