That's right - you read it - ONE MILLION DOLLARS A WEEK! For five years.

What do you think of this development? Will Posh Spice be a permanent fixture at the Ivy, complaining about how the paparazzi invade her personal life? Will this lend any legitimacy to US soccer - ok, sorry, I couldn't even write that without laughing.

A post - note: On sports center this morning, they said that the 2006 salary of the entire MLS was about $25.9M - Dave's salary for 2007? $50M!

Yeah, I'm officially offended. No one needs that much money - there is just no reason. You wouldn't think he'd take $49,500,000 and throw half a million at a good cause, would you? Nah. The world will be much better off with David Beckham in Los Angeles playing soccer and living on a salary equal to a small country's national income.
